Passionate about nurturing young musicians and creating joyful learning experiences
Founder & Lead Instructor
Hi! I'm Sheila, and I've been sharing the joy of music with young children and their families for over 30 years. My journey in early childhood music education began when I was a music graduate student and fell in love with the way even the tiniest babies respond to rhythm and melody. I then trained with Music Together and taught classes in Boulder, CO.
After earning my graduate degree in Music History, I moved to Moab and started teaching kindergarten. I earned a specialized certification in Early Childhood Arts Integration with an emphasis in music. I have continued sharing my love of music with families and young children because I strongly believe in creating a space where families could experience the magic of music together. I've actively taught music in Moab since 2006, and it's been the greatest joy of my life to watch hundreds of children discover their musical voices.
When I'm not teaching, you'll find me playing guitar or piano, hiking and arch hunting with my family, or probably singing silly songs to my own little one at home. I believe that every child is musical, that music is the BEST way to help children learn and grow in a holistic way, and I can't wait to help your family discover the musician within!

Music should be joyful! Learning happens naturally through playful exploration and discovery, not drills or pressure.
I believe all children have innate musicality. My role is to nurture that natural ability with patience and encouragement.
Parents are their child's first and best teacher. I partner with families to support musical growth at home.
